One of the driving forces that helps shape Eric’s outlook in the profession is seeing potential – what could be and seeing others learn and apply something new inspires him. As a principal and leader of the Fort Collins’ BG Buildingworks, Eric take influencing the next generation of engineers very seriously and resourcefully works at college recruiting to bring top, young talent to BG. Staying active in organizations to maintain a leading edge within the industry, Eric uses his expertise in electrical and technology systems design to collaborate with clients and teaming partners to achieve better solutions for projects.

Where in the World is…

…Eric? Most likely racing down a mountain on a bike, chasing a little white ball around the links, or taking it to the net.

Advice to those looking to break into engineering: “Find something special to focus on. It might be a technical aspect, or a role, or simply an idea. When you leave the office at the end of the day, what creeps back into your head? What do you find that you’re always thinking about? THAT is what you need to focus on. But whatever it is, find a way to make it special, make it unique, make it you. Be the best there is at that.”
