NAIOP NM, the local chapter for the national commercial real estate organization, recognized several New Mexico projects for the 2021 Awards of Excellence. BG Buildingworks was excited about being part of different teams for projects winning awards. BG provided MEP design services on the following projects.

The Highlands Pedestrian Bridge – Recipient of the Industrial Eagle Award

  • The curved 3,500 SF bridge spans Central Avenue to connect The Springhill Suites to Presbyterian Hospital. At night color-changing LED lighting ads a dynamic nighttime element.

McKee Wallwork + Co Tenant Improvement – Recipient of the Office Eagle Award

  • New HQ is part of Glorieta Station, an eight-acre redevelopment in downtown Albuquerque. The design highlights the former warehouse’s existing concrete floors and wood columns as well as trusses and high ceilings.

First Financial Credit Union – Recipient of the Retail Merit Award

  • A design-build project helped overcome various project site challenges. The new building’s open office spaces have unobstructed valley views to the west and mountains to the east.
