Colorado State University required a new space for classrooms, a lecture hall and faculty offices. The building needed to meet or exceed LEED Gold certification per the Governor’s Energy Office guidelines for state-funded buildings.
BG provided mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and lighting engineering design and construction contract administration for the approximately 90,000 SF, four-story building.
The new facility has three large classrooms which represent different habitats in Colorado as well as five group study rooms that are also thematically designed. The 275-seat lecture hall is fully equipped with full cinema-quality surround sound, projection equipment, and a large screen. The entry overlooks a courtyard and has an expanded plaza and a water wall feature.
