BG provided mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and lighting systems design and construction administration services for the complete remodel and addition of the approximately 7,800 square foot existing commercial building located in downtown Aspen, Colorado. Existing exterior walls and floor structure remained while all existing mechanical, plumbing, electrical, lighting, and technology system were replaced. The interior stairs were enclosed with a fire-rated partition (no atrium).

The lighting design approach included selecting luminaires with minimal profiles to maintain the clean lines of the architecture. Lighting was integrated into coves and wall slots to create visual interest, and the two-story stone wall was grazed with light from above and below to bring out the textural depth of the material.
