Looking to capitalize on the historic character of downtown Denver, Rowland and Broughton (R+B) decided to remodel there current office space located at 1830 Blake street.

The property, originally built in 1892, was the longtime home of the E.B. Millar Coffee Company. After the iconic coffee company vacated the facility, the building was converted to commercial office space.

In 2013 R+B completed a full tenant build-out highlighting the historic building materials, two conference rooms, studio work spaces, and a library. BG provided mechanical, plumbing, electrical, lighting, and technology systems engineering design and construction administration services for the project.

In addition to the systems design work, BG provided LEED CI Commissioning Authority services for the office remodel. By providing a one-stop-shop for design and commissioning services, BG was able to simplify the entire construction process for the owner and transition from design through occupancy seamlessly, ultimately saving the client time and money.
